The following day, George provided us with a concise overview of the upcoming assignment. This task centered around animating a ball with a tail, emphasizing the meticulous application of animation principles, particularly anticipation and follow-through. To add an element of fun and inspiration, we were encouraged to watch videos featuring squirrels for reference.
Later in the session, George conducted a review of our pendulum assignments. During this feedback session, he offered insights into the areas that needed refinement. Armed with these constructive notes, the task at hand was clear – to incorporate the feedback and refine the pendulum animation. Looking ahead to the subsequent week, our assignment entailed submitting a blocked animation featuring a lively ball with a tail in various jumping motions. The anticipation of delving into this creative challenge added an extra layer of excitement to our ongoing animation endeavours.
During Thursday’s lesson, we delved into the intricacies of the sequencer, exploring its functionality in crafting animations within Unreal, particularly for animated cameras. This knowledge proves to be invaluable as I continue to navigate the expansive possibilities within Unreal Engine. Additionally, we delved into the realm of materials, understanding how they can be applied to elevate our level designs, fueling my anticipation for the upcoming stages of level creation.
